Our Restaurant

The Mill Race is a contemporary, relaxed village pub in the Wye Valley, just 3 miles from Ross-on-Wye and 6 miles from Monmouth. Ashley and Gosia took over the pub back in October 2020. Both are passionate about food, and nearly all of the produce is sourced locally.

We like to give simple food a fresh, modern twist, and we offer an extensive range of wines and beers from all over the globe to bring a touch of international flair to your meal.

Our Kitchen

Positioned on the borders of Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and Monmouthshire, we are surrounded by wonderful producers. Working in partnership with farms, vineyards and artisan distilleries to bring the best of the Wye Valley and surrounding area to you. Our menus change seasonally to make sure that we’re making the most of local produce and supporting our suppliers to maintain sustainable business practices.

We visited this delightful local restaurant mid week and were greeted by friendly staff. We were a party of 4 with very different tastes but we all chose starters mains and desserts from a great menu! Delicious and unusual starters, salads and good risotto and dressings, seasoning etc. we finished with ice creams and sorbets just perfect for a summers day! Definitely the first visit of many!!

We had a wonderful birthday lunch here today. Absolutely perfect! It was everything we hoped it would be! The people were welcoming, friendly, polite, efficient, just the best!
